My only encounters to date with novels by Sophie Kinsella have been her shopoholic series. This is entirely different which made a nice change but don't worry, the magic which Sophie Kinsella has Becky Bloomwood is repeated with Lexi Gardner! A very enjoyable, well paced and easy to read book; perfect for holiday.

This was one of the first books of Sophie Kinsella's that I had read, and I wasn't disappointed with it.
I had previously read a couple of the Shopaholic series (Shopaholic and baby & Shopaholic and sister) and I found this book an enjoyable read.

It didn't grab me from the start and I had to push past the opening chapters and will myself to continue but after a little while I got into it and enjoyed it.

Main character, Lexi, wakes up in hospital after being in a coma for 3 years. A totally different person on the outside, Lexi goes on to discover that she has an amazing job, (of which she is boss!), a stunning loft apartment and she is married to a gorgeous millionaire. What more could a girl want?

She has to then learn everything over again, from where she lives, to how she takes her coffee and how she likes their foreplay to pan out!

But she soon realises that things aren't as perfect as they appeared to be. For some reason her best friends hate her,her rival is after her job and a guy turns up with some interesting news for her. But she remembers none of it!

How will she get back everything that has happened over the last 3 years and if she does, what will she do about it?

The book ended nicely and it was fun to read. There are some interesting characters and it was always satisfying to read when Lexi remembers things and puts the pieces of her life back together.

I turned to my faithful bookshelf in desperate need of something fun to read... I picked this book up and it was appropriate as I cannot remember where it came from. (And still can't)

I finished it within two days.

Lexi is a wonderful character that has a wonderful attitude to her predicament. I have not giggled so much at a book for a long, long time. Even now, nearly a week later, I find myself laughing at certain incidents.

If you want a fun book then this is perfect.

I am so happy this book mysteriously appeared on my book shelf... it will soon be accompanied by Sophie's other books and I shall be totally aware of them this time.

This is my favourite Sophie Kinsella book so far, ive read 5 of them. It's very funny, intriguing and moreish! Its about a young women (Lexi) who wakes up in hospital with amnesia having lost 3 years of her life. Furthermore Lexi's life seems to bear no resemblence to the life she remembers. The story progresses to reveal why Lexi's life is so different and why she doesn't recognise herself. As always with Sophie Kinsellas books there's also a touch of romance.

I have only recently discovered Kinsella's books, starting off first with 'Can You Keep a Secret?' and then onto 'Remember me?'. I have to say it was intriguing at first, but the ending felt rushed and I felt myself go "Errr ok then". I wouldn't knock it, however, it was a pleasure to read, though a little thought could have gone into making the finale a little bit more exciting. 3 out of 5!
